The Challenge

Sanitarium sought to reimagine their Pivio program for a digital-first world, aiming to create an engaging, story-driven health experience that offered participants a holistic view of their wellness. The goal was not only to inform but to inspire long-lasting lifestyle changes with personalized recommendations grounded in science.

Our Approach

At Experience Foundry, we centered our strategy on deep customer research, diving into the motivations and needs of Pivio’s participants. Working closely with the Sanitarium team, we led a creative process that was as data-driven as it was empathetic. We crafted a digital health ecosystem—a one-stop hub that included live online support groups, expert-led video content, articles, and practical resources. Our work culminated in a 12-episode lifestyle transformation series designed to capture real, relatable stories of personal change. These resources, along with a learning track focused on habit formation, empowered participants to take control of their health journey.

The Results & Impact

Within the first year of a three-year roadmap, our redesigned Pivio program achieved transformative results. Participants reported measurable improvements in key health metrics, including biometrics, blood markers, and lifestyle habits. A longitudinal study showed that the program fostered a profound sense of community and resilience, underscoring the value of a holistic, story-driven approach to health.

Through Pivio, we didn’t just design a program; we created an immersive journey that blends storytelling with science to drive meaningful change.
